Kent Sports Trust

The Kent Sports Trust Foundation is a charity devoted to changing lives through sport in Kent.

Established in 2016, we are passionate about helping everyone to achieve his or her full potential in life by delivering high-quality physical education and sport opportunities both in schools and across the community.

Our aim is to foster relationships with families to encourage participation, create positive health outcomes, and provide opportunities for the Kent community to connect through sport.

So, please join Team Kent Sports Trust Foundation for Gung-Ho!

Kent Sports Trust Foundation is very excited to be partnered with Gung-Ho! This is a fantastic fun event that we loved taking part in last year and can’t wait to come back in June!

We are proud to have Norfolk Carers Support as our local charity partner for Gung-Ho! Norwich.

Norfolk Carers Support

Norfolk Carers Support is a charity who provide specialist support to unpaid carers, which includes those who look after people with the following:

  • A physical disability
  • A long-term physical illness
  • A mental health problem
  • A learning difficulty
  • Drug or alcohol misuse problems

Norfolk Carers Support have been providing support to Carers at various stages in their lives in Norfolk for over 20 years. They have services for young people (ages 6-16), young adults (16-24 years old) and adults. Their support is tailored down to individual levels, to make sure that Carers are accessing the services that can help them and their loved one.

A large proportion of the money raised will go towards supporting our Young People’s services, which provide essential support and respite to Young and Young Adult Carers across Norfolk. Being a Young Carer can be as challenging as it is rewarding. Young Carers are more likely to miss out on social opportunities experienced by their peers, have lower educational attainment and are more likely to experience mental health problems. We specialise in supporting these incredible young people with the challenges specific to their age group, such as transitioning into independence and balancing school and work demands with their caring role. We do this through providing intensive one to one and group support to offer Young Carers a chance to offload, a break from their caring role, and the opportunity to meet other young people with similar experiences to realise they are not alone.
